Essay 1: Reflections on Ethics, Business and Ethical Decision Making

What do I expect from this class and what have I actually learnt from the class?

Before entering to this class, I expected to learn about ethics, business ethics, difference between laws and ethics and the process of making an ethical decision. And I learnt all of that from the class. However, the learning points somehow are slightly not in accordance with the learning outcomes of the course where the learning points are not so much incorporated with Islamic values. There is less emphasisation of Islamic values in the lecture. Besides that, the class is quite boring as what I expected from the beginning since it is a reading subject and furthermore it is a 3 hour class sesion. However, I think project/activity log book is burdening because we cannot keep record of everything everytime. Somehow, we will left something too unintentionally. At the end of the class, I learnt about teamwork and leadership.

Suggest three ways the learning in the class can be improved and how can I apply what I have learnt into my life.

How the learning can be improved:

• incorporate and imbued more of Islamic values in the teaching.

• make the class more interesting by sharing real life stories or stories that...
