Dr. Carolyn Hughes

Director of Proposal Review

The National Grants Agency

419 Herald Boulevard

Washington DC, 18007

Dear Dr. Hughes:

I am writing to you because of The National Grants Agency’s reputation as one of the most reputable granting agencies in my field. I am the principal investigator of our environmental research team at the Keystone Environmental Engineering Corporation. I am trying to acquire a grant towards our team’s goal of providing the world with a safe solution to disasters such as the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. My team includes thirty of some of the greatest minds in the field of environmental engineering in North America. We have had great success in previous accounts, most acknowledgeable, our work in New Orleans after the natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina. Would you be able to answer a few questions about the type of funding we could potentially expect from your agency for furthering our research?

1. How long does it ordinarily take for confirmation that you have accepted to fund our program?

2. Can you give me an estimate on the amount of funding that is averagely given to organizations much like mine?

3. If my inquiry is accepted, is it necessary to reveal all of our findings to your agency?

My team is working very hard and is very close to solving the dilemma of oil spill cleanup and, we are very anxious to hear back from you. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Josh J
