The biggest challenge in opening a new hotel

For me, as for someone who has never participated in the opening of a new hotel, or any other similar facility, taking part in such a venture would be a huge challenge and  a great experience. But without any support from the relevant people, I wouldn’t have a clue how to cope with such a project, how to find suitable premises, funding, investors, how to choose contractors and finally how to start the business.

The knowledge of skills, tools and techniques use in Project Management definetly would make it much easier for me to find myself in such a situation and participating in such a challenge would be easier and more considered. Thanks to the Project Management classes now I know how to divide such a huge project into smaller ones, and that the primary challenge of any project is to achieve all of the project goals and objectives while honoring the project constraints like scope, time, and budget.

Right now I also know that sometimes it’s better to hire a Project Manager, whose key responsibility is to successfully accomplish the project goals. I also poses the knowledge of creating projects charters, that establish the authority assigned to the project manager, the list of stakeholders, who affect or may be affected by the project and etc.

So the possibility of opening a new hotel would be a lifetime experience and a very challenging one for me but I think that thanks to the PM classes I have greater knowledge how to do it in a proper way.
