Army Wives/ Lifetime Sundays @ 9pm/8c

Even though not wanting to lose any more military members to war, these Army Wives are dealing with it first-hand. Roxy, Denise, Pamela, and Claudia Joy are all enjoying the day with Denise’s soon to be daughter in law. They are all enjoying the bridal shower together, when the worst thing can happen to a military family member comes true. The dreaded black SUV pulls up and two Army members get out to notify a family of a fallen military member. Not knowing who it is, this very tight military “family” of four grabs each other’s hands and braces for the worse to come.

This show Army Wives tells us so much about the society we live in. It is very real for me. Being a military spouse now for twelve plus years you always are thinking about what could happen when they are gone. We are always proud of them for what they do for our country and us, but we are always thinking about what could happen also. Watching this show for some people may be hard. It’s what military life is like though. We spouses that are left at home learn how to do it all. Kids, jobs, school, plumber, electrician, all around handy man you learn fast. If you don’t know how to do it someone in your military “family” does. Just like these four ladies and Roland are a military “family” you will have a “family” also. Being part of a military “family” you learn to love and hate them all the same. Just like your biological family, we all have are good and bad. I sometimes feel much closer with my military family. We live it together every day. Until you’ve been through it, you truly won’t understand it. Watching this show thought is so spot on to the military way of life.

At the funeral, Roxy, Pamela, Claudia Joy, Roland, and Denise are sitting there and they finally show them handing the flag to Denise Sherwood. Her son was killed in action and her husband...
