Apple-Apple is a computer hardware and software vendor that is known as a trend-setter in the computer industry. Its products have shaken up the tech market several times. Under the leadership of CEO Steve Jobs, Apple emphasize simplicity in its products- including its Mac computer, laptops, iPods, iPhones, and starting in March, its iPads.

Apple has made a name for their brand within the last decade. Their first models were focused on artist such as photographers, video producers and graphic designers. Their ongoing innovation places at the forefront of emerging technology.

Apple strives on using a customer-focused business model. Ease of use with their products is main focus when designing their products. According toxxx iPod and iTunes nothing has done more to help apple’s vision of the computer as the hub of a digital entertainment center than its iPod digital play. The iPod is the most popular digital music player on the market, and the company keeps improving its product line by updating its iPod line. The I Tunes music store has also been wildly popular, despite the number of peer-to-peer sites where people can download music for free, although illegally, and the site has branched out to include podcasts, audiobooks, television, shows, and movies. The iPod and ITunes has certainly played a role in the demise of some brick-and-mortar music retailers.xxxx

Apple product line is huge but for the sake of the topic, iTunes is a music service that allows users to download songs digitally starting at $.099 each. The service is available to both Mac and Windows users. ITunes offers songs, television shows, movies, audiobooks and podcasts. (According to Sherry Kercher of Faulkner Information Services 2011)
