The Future is now? Pretty soon, at least

Which of Kurzwell’s Predictions Do you Agree With?

With the advances in technology I would have to say I agree with Kurzwell’s prediction on how technology will transform us. Since the beginning of the computer revolution, there has been amazing transformations. From the main frame of the 60’s, which were large and required large room space, to the desk top and more portable laptops of the 70’s and 80’s. There is also an advance in programs and how they are used. Let’s look at the telephones, from cord to cordless, to cell phones. Some of the smartphones and IPhones can do the work of computers, (one can go as far to say they are hand held computers). The programs are even great on these phones. Cannot forget the automobiles, T.V’s, washers and dryers, radios, microwaves, stores, etc. language has evolved from mere utterances to the formation of words to sentences. So has technology. Nothing has transformed over night, it took time, countless errors and patients to succeed. Viewing the history of technology, there will be spectacular growth and events in this arena.

Which do you doubt?

I can’t say I totally doubt, there will be a university for the coming singularity. It is interesting and I must say exciting. The knowledge and sharing of it is captivating. Then again the brain power is vast and not totally used. Solar and nuclear energy is still in a growing faze, of which the knowledge of it is still far off. Then there’s the financial issue. As we can see, financing school has risen and will continue as the cost of living continues to rise. Knowledge has been hidden and not readily shared as each country tries to be the first or most advanced. Is it possible, history has shown that it is. The future holds great things and this to can be possible.
