Miescor Builders Inc. (MBI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corp. (MIESCOR), one of the leading construction and engineering companies in the Philippines, with more than three decades of experience and expertise in the aforementioned field. MIESCOR, on the other hand, is a subsidiary of Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), a pioneer in the field of electricity distribution with over one hundred (100) years of service and the largest distributor of electricity in the Philippines.

Miescor Builders Inc. started out as the ECAS group (Electrical Construction and Allied Services), and the KFW project group, both under the Construction Department of MIESCOR. The two groups specialized in the construction of Meralco substations, steel pole foundations, repair of power & distribution transformers, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, testing and commissioning of industrial/commercial electrical systems and substation equipment & facilities.

Due to the growing number of projects and to be more responsive to client needs, MIESCOR Management decided to spin off the ECAS group into a new company. In December 1995, Miescor Builders Inc. (MBI) formally came into existence.

The Company embarked on strategic alliances with other companies to strengthen its position and possibly to gain new technologies and methodologies. It has a Triple A (“AAA”) class category for License Particulars in Electrical Work and other classifications such as General Engineering & Building, Foundation, Mechanical and Waterproofing works from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB).  Moreover, it acquired a small B, medium A/B, and large B size ranges for government level projects. The Company offers a wide range of construction and services.
