River Rafting Business Location

The purpose of this report is to offer potential riverfront locations for an exciting successful river rafting company, and show the advantages of selecting the best business choice for this adventure. As accountants of a modest accounting firm, we have been tasked to offer suggestions for the best location for a prosperous river rafting company. The states that we are evaluating are Wisconsin, Texas, and Georgia. This report will briefly describe the legal aspects of acquiring, holding, and disposal of real property. Define personal property, evaluate business insurance options, discuss environment issues, and regulations.

Wisconsin

The world class Menominee River provides the rafting enthusiast with some of the largest volumes rapids within the Midwest. The Menominee River has characteristics of those similar the Colorado River. The Menominee River will be the best location for the small river-rafting business. According to Wikipedia, “Real property is any subset of land that has been legally defined and the improvements to it made by human efforts: any buildings, machinery, wells, dams, ponds, minds, canals, roads and various property rights.” To obtain the most for the money being invested, the business will need to be in the northern parts of Wisconsin. The ideal spots for this type of business will be Green Bay, Wausau, and Silver Cliff. The first thing that will need to be accomplished is to look at purchasing commercial land on the Menominee River. The typical cost of purchasing commercial land on the Menominee River is fifty thousand dollars that includes a riverfront building with two acres. The other option would be to purchase commercial land on the Menominee River with typical cost of forty-five thousand.
