Monsoons and Billing for BOLT

As it is the time of year for monsoons, we wanted to drop you all a quick line reminding you of the problems monsoons can cause and we wanted to touch base briefly again to talk to you about auto pay and technical issues.

As a reminder, if you have logged into the billing portal, and the “credit card” box is checked, you are set up for auto pay to run on the 1st of the month. If you want to confirm, change, or ensure your payment method, please contact the office.

If you have technical issues, we highly encourage you to call when you start having problems. Please do not wait days before reporting a problem with your service to us. We are here to help you, and the sooner we know there is an issue, the sooner we can get this fixed for you.

Monsoons are coming – Protect your equipment

In July we start the monsoon season which means lots of wind and lighting storms in the afternoons or evenings. We want to offer some advice on how to protect your computers and electronics. During this season a lot of electronic equipment is damaged, not to direct lighting but to the surge in the power lines after a strike so there are a few things you can do to protect your equipment.

· When a storm is coming, turn off or unplug all unnecessary power equipment to reduce the draw on power companies. Storms are prime times for power outages, and conserving energy will help everyone in the event of emergencies. Please pay attention to how you unplug your computers so you can plug them back in the same way. The Main things to unplug are the power and all things on your network for example; router, printer, network storage, gaming or video devices, and our POE. This will prevent the need to replace any of this equipment due to a surge when the power fluctuates.
