In today’s rapidly changing business environment, it is necessary for companies to make organizational changes in order for them to stay competitive. Organizational changes are something that every company has to contend. As the pace of business speeds up, so to do the dynamics that affects an organization. Change management is an important area that business professionals have to embrace as a way to ensure they keep the business moving in the right direction. The company’s goals are to improve the ability of the organization to adapt to changes in its environment and to change employee behavior (Robbins&Judge, 2007). There are many factors affecting organization change, one of them is the culture of the organization. The organization’s culture helps understand its ability to change, adapt, and maintain itself. Changing the culture is not an easy task. Most employees are resistant to change, and this is a natural reaction by people who want to protect their self-interests and sense of self-determination (Yulk, 2006).

Change management is an important area that business professionals have to embrace as a way to ensure they keep the business moving in the right direction.

Creating a values-driven organization can change more than just the way the workplace is perceived. The first step of effective leadership is to identify the various needs and concerns of the followers and the social network at the workplace. Good leaders often switch instinctively between styles, according to the people they lead and the work that needs to be done. Establish trust – that is key to this process – and remember to balance the needs of the organization against the needs of your team.
