While Alice’s arguments against spending hours in an enclosed space reeking of stale cigarette smoke—an implicit health hazard, irrespective arguments to the contrary (see discussion below)—may well be valid, the fact remains that she failed to specifically address the issue with the manager, Charles Renfold, before the company debacle (a requirement that a company report be assembled immediately, using a workspace regularly occupied by smokers) arose.
