FINAL PROJECT - IT ASSESSMENT 2
Abstract
Throughout MBA 6180, Managing Information Assets and Technology, emphasis has been placed on the criticality of managing information systems and technologies effectively. The basis of this effectiveness begins with incorporating information systems or IT management and employment at the organizational level in such a way as to create innovation and/or efficiencies that generate competitive or operational advantages. Laudon and Laudon (2010) supports these principles by providing an in-depth study of the intricacies of the subject: information systems within organizational structures, managing information, implementation and utilization of innovative technologies, and project management. This paper will provide an evaluation of the concepts rose throughout MBA 6180, and as a comparison provide a review of how the Air Force manages IT and implements program management which will result in a recommended course of action for an Air Force to improve its IT management practices at the unit level.
