Comments: Beatrice Hi! Here is feedback on your discussion performance during week 3: Nice work in the TDA. I really appreciate your input. As you know already, I grade the TDA quite simply. I basically I look for substantive postings that add value to the discussion. More specifically I look to see if the questions I raised have been addressed, and I check to see if you posted on a minimum of 3 separate days in each individual TDA - this is how the college tracks attendance. 1st post no later than Wednesday 4/4 (2 points per graded discussion) Frequency 12/18 (9 points per thread broken into 3 points per day of participation) You participated on 2 different days of the week in both of the graded discussion threads. Good! Next week strive for 3 different days in both threaded discussions. Quality 13/18 (9 points per threaded discussion) In each post you want to integrate the material we’ve studied from our text and lecture. When you do this, it demonstrates you have read and thought about the material so hopefully you’ll be able to apply the material after the course! The keys to performing well in discussion are to: stay active, focus on the TCOs, apply and reference course material in each of your posts. These tips will ensure you create well-supported, productive posts leading to greater depth of learning and consistently high discussion scores! Make you do more than go through the motions here – I want every student to earn an A but the school forces me to grade students on these criteria. Stay focused on learning, long-term benefit and application; you’ll earn an A in this course! Remember your course project outline is due in week 4 – use the guidelines and instructions provided in the doc sharing area for the project. The class will be wrapping up before you know it! Thanks for your good work this past week :) |
