The best and worst of two systems come at a price, especially when the system is run by two different governments and different rules. The expectation that things are going to stay the same throughout the course of the years is such a far cry to what is real. Healthcare is such a sensitive topic for a lot of people and unfortunately will remain the forefront of most topics for days to come. With the rising cost of health insurance, medications, regular doctor’s visits and just overall health in general one will always wonder what are the best and worst of the healthcare systems. However, every country run’s their system differently.

Health care delivery and management systems are different in the United States and Canada. The United States is one of the biggest sectors as far as healthcare is concerned. Healthcare reform has become an on-going issue over the last few years. Now that President Barack Obama has implemented a bill that will require everyone to attain some type of health insurance, which may be considered a good thing for some, but at what cost. The new bill will not become effective until 2014 so only time will tell exactly what this bill will bring about.

Health care delivery and management in Canada is looked at on a whole different spectrum. Canadians continue to favor a publicly funded, comprehensive health care system, but seem pessimistic about whether it is sustainable; and that increasing privatization, in numerous forms, has crept into the system (Future of Health Care, 2002).
