Decisions in Paradise
There are many issues that our company will have to face if we are going to do business on the island of Kava. Some of these issues will include its many natural disasters, which are tidal waves, hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanoes, earthquakes, floods and fire just to name a few. On top of all that the threat of a more serious issue that must be addressed is the threat of terrorism on this island. This is a serious issue not only for the people on the island, but for all share holders involved with the company. This is the number one obstacle we would face simply because of the very real possibility of loss of life scenarios that could arise directly or indirectly from terrorist activity. The final problem that we would face is the health issues such as HIV/AIDS, or avian flu related to the island natives and how that could potentially affect our employees and customers here and abroad.
The share holders have a very large opportunity in Kava from a financial standpoint. We could control the market when it comes to transporting everything from the ports to customer locations and back. Being the first is a big advantage and the best thing for a company, that makes you the one with the most experience and a monopoly for most everyone needing something in your line of work. That being said, there is domino effect of negative things that could be detrimental to our share holders as well if they are not properly handled. The first thing we would need to do is find a way to get our products to and from our consumers safely, some security detail would have to be assigned to each and every truck leaving our location at the port and this cost would have to be considered in our billing as well.
