Executive Summary

Iveron Materials Inc. develops and commercializes Geopolymer Concrete – in which the regular cement is entirely replaced with fly-ash combined with certain proprietary activators. Geopolymer Concrete exhibits superior engineering and durability properties comparing to ordinary Portland cement – based concrete. Due to their strong polymeric structure, Geopolymers exhibit excellent physical and chemical properties. In particular, Geopolymers are able to adsorb and immobilize hazardous waste containing elements such as arsenic, mercury and lead among other, by ‘‘locking’’ them within their three dimensional framework. Geopolymers can offer solutions for a wide variety of environmental applications such as surface capping of waste dumps, construction of low permeability base liners in waste landfills, water control structures, stabilization of tailing dams, construction of heap leach pads among other. Geopolymers may be also considered for the management of several types of mining and metallurgical waste. Geopolymers have 80% less Carbon footprint comparing to ordinary Portland cement. Therefore, adopters of Geopolymers will be able to develop Carbon credit assets that can be sold in the international markets.

Geopolymer Concrete

Iveron Materials’ proprietary Geopolymers are inorganic binders synthesized from industrial by-product materials rich in silicon (Si) and aluminum (Al), such as fly ash. Certain Al- and Si- rich minerals can also be used instead of or in addition to fly-ash. The polymerization process involves a substantially fast chemical reaction under alkaline condition on Si-Al minerals, that results in a three-dimensional polymeric chain and ring structure consisting...
