Analyzing Messages

For one to simply compose, send, and receive messages one must be aware of the communication from the one sending the message and the one receiving the message. The sender should take into consideration the tone of the message written instead of the point of the information presented in the message (Rogers & Hildebrandt, 1993). The receiver should take the feedback presented to him or her whether it is positive or negative, and take it in an effective way of communicating. Communication is important in the process of sending and receiving messages. The construction of a message and how it is received will determine how the receiver views it. Framing is used to construct the wording in the message in communication with a specific audience. A message is in three forms for communication between the sender and receiver, which expresses the sender’s thoughts and opinions. The three forms of messages are to inform, to persuade, or to take action. Informational messages are received, and the receiver should fully comprehend the message and determine the information shared in the message and to make a description on something. Persuasion messages are used with the attempt to alter the receivers attitudes, thoughts, and perceptions. Action messages are written to inform or motivate the receiver to perform tasks. This paper analysis three messages, and includes descriptions of the purpose, sender, receiver, message, environment, technology, noise, feedback, and explanations of whether the message and technology were appropriate given the environment and purpose, and a response to one message with the use of direct, effective writing techniques (Roebuck, 2006).
