PepsiCo’s value statement “Our commitment to deliver sustained growth, through empowered people, acting with responsibility and trust” and “Performance with Purpose” their business strategy says it all. This shows that growth and development of the employees at PepsiCo are a critical component to their success. PepsiCo is known for being an “academy” company when it comes to talent management; they have been known to create leaders within their organization. Talent acquisitions, talent management and development, PepsiCo University, and inclusive culture are distinct planks that set PepsiCo aside from the competition. PepsiCo understands for their business to grow their employees must grow. Their consistent growth is reflected in their strong performances. The Career growth model describes how PepsiCo approaches building careers within their company. The model was created to articulate to employees: what factors leaders and HR consider when making internal selections and how employees should plan their individual development with their managers and on their own. The model shows the major aspect of what is looked for when considering employees for new opportunities. Proven Results are measured by performance management process and reinforce the cultural emphasis on growth.
