Ethics and Social Responsibility

The loss of funds in retirement, employment, tax evasion, double the bonuses, and the politics of the office are challenges that affect organizations. These challenges are like viruses that cause efficiency and professionalism. Organizations influence and even be influenced by society it operates in (Cengage, 2009). Organizations need to consider issues like safety of products, regulations, ethical, economic, and legal responsibilities that the organization functions. Integrate social and ethical responsibility techniques in the strategic plan is one method that organizations can use. While doing this the organization can consider the agendas and the needs of the stakeholders. In this paper the roles of social and ethical responsibility in a strategic plan whereas the stakeholder’s agendas and needs are met will be identified. This paper will also include a company that overstepped the ethical boundaries and the measures of prevention that can avoid in situations.

Ethics is a subject that people take for granted. People see ethics as practical knowledge and common sense then to the knowledge of theoretical (Ciulla, 2004). Social responsibility is an environment or society that increases profits in the ethical and legal standards making a contribution positively by adding value of life in operation. Determining the long-term effect of making decision is the most important need for strategic plans.

Economic, Legal, Ethical, and Philanthropic Responsibility

Economic responsibility occurs when businesses provide services and goods that can add profits for long-term growth, survival, and also reward investors (Cengage, 2009). An organizations first objective is to make a profit. Organizations should remember that profits should not detriment the society.
