The lemon is complicated. Its skin is oily rather than dry. The skin feels rough and smooth at the same time. The skin has two layers. The inside has seeds and cells and membranes. The smell is pleasant, but the taste is sour.
The lemon is complicated. First, its skin is oily rather than dry and this seems odd. Most fruit skins are dry to the touch, but his one feels a little slick. The oil catches the light and makes the skin shiny. Also, the skin feels rough and smooth at the same time. It is covered with small rounded bumps, but my fingers move smoothly over it. The skin has two layers. The outer layer is firm and yellow, but the inner layer is white and soft. The inside has seeds and cells and membranes. The seeds are snuggled among the cells, and membranes divide the fruit into sections. The smell is pleasant, but the taste is sour. When I smell it, I want to take a bite, but when my tongue touches it my mouth waters and my face puckers up. What a strange fruit this is.
