REQUEST FOR RESEARCH ASSISTANT

DATA COLLECTION FOR INTERGRATION OF FAMILY PLANNING INTO HIV CARE AND TREATMENT SERVICES

Introduction

EGPAF in collaboration with UNFPA will soon be implementing integration of family planning services into HIV care and treatment services in Shinyanga regions. However, in during the process the organization would like to document the changes in the uptake of the services. In so doing EGPAF in collaboration with the UNFPA would like to conduct a baseline assessment in to determine a current situation on counseling and use of family planning among HIV clients in Shinyanga region. Therefore EGPAF which is implementing the program is seeking for qualified research assistant to help in data collection in Shinyanga. The exercise will run for 2 weeks only.

Scope of work and specific tasks

The scope of work for this assignment will largely focus on, but will not be limited to the following key issues:

* Attend orientation data collection process

* Interview HIV client

* Record and compile collected information on daily basis

* Enter data into data base

* Analyze data using a given statistical package

* Submit the report to the study team leader

Qualification

* Must have an advanced diploma/degree in either of the following sociology, statistics, medical or related field

* Must have undergone training on research ethics

* Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili

* Must have experiences in conducting research data analysis and report writing

* Knowledge and experience on SPSS and access data analysis is an added advantage
