Global Warming: Made Up Of Cycles

Currently global warming is a topic of much debate, especially among the scientific community. Some scientists have the opinion that human caused pollution, in particular greenhouse gas emissions, are the sole cause of global warming. This is possible but a lot of scientists agree that greenhouse gases are only a small contribution and cycles such as astrological cycles are the biggest cause of global warming. While greenhouse gases do exist there is much more evidence now to suggest that the natural cycle theory is right, and that global warming is caused by these cycles.

The biggest problem with global warming is that most people are even unsure how to define it. A topic without a good strong definition is hard to talk about, for a debate to ever be settled a good definition is necessary. According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary global warming is "an increase in the earth's atmospheric and oceanic temperatures widely predicted to occur due to an increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution" (1). A decent start of a definition for sure, however, this definition favors greenhouse gases. The term global warming should be more general than that. The term global warming should only include the action it describes, warming of the globe. Dictionary.com has a slightly different view, "an increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect" (1). This definition is preferable because it doesn't necessarily favor greenhouse gases but it does include that as a possibility. The best definition of global warming is the warming of the average temperature of the Earth as a whole. Also this is more measurable, a trait desired by a scientist, because you can record the average temperature of the Earth and chart the differences. The most important thing about the definition of global warming is that greenhouse gases...
