To whom it may concern,
The following is a proposal, which is to be submitted the spring of 2010. This report will be presenting an overview of the Just in Time practices, how the system originated and what it involves from goals and objectives. The report will also look at how Just in Time systems can be implemented within Wabush Mines. This topic was chosen after confirmation with Crystal Ball, who is the Wabush Mines Senior Buyer.
Currently, there is no scheme in place to carry out a Just in Time system at Wabush Mines. My goal in this report is to obtain information about how Wabush Mines’ Purchasing and Inventory systems work and illustrate areas that have been approved and areas that need further attention, in addition to advantages of implementation of a Just in Time system.
The report will conclude with a recommendations section that will make suggestions to the staff of Wabush Mines based on the information collected and the trends that seem to be occurring from one year to another.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this proposal, as I would be pleased to offer any additional information that you may require. I can be reached by e-mail at vhillier@cci-wabush.com, or by telephone, at 1-709-285-7144.
Sincerely,
Vicki Hillier
