Transfer Essay

Since high school, studying abroad has alway been a dream for me. I have alway wanted to study in good school abroad that is why I chose Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus. At Eastern Mediterranean University, am currently studying Information technology. Living in Cyprus has been great. I have been able to adopt to the life of living abroad. I have also made new friends and learnt new culture. i have been able to lean the benefits from group studies and Interactions with people. This has helped me tremendously in life and in my studies.

There are several reason why I want to transfer to the university of Maryland. Currently am studying Information technology which has to do mainly about computers and the writing of programs, But at the university of Maryland, I will like to study information system which deals with teaching student how to become effective planners, managers and good users of information technologies and systems in a working environment. I believe this gives me different options of expertise. Also at university of Maryland, I will be given the chance to join department clubs which will help me in my studies. Secondly, I will like to be involved in sport activity sure as soccer. Currently at my University, it is almost impossible for a international student to get picked to play for the soccer team. By attending University of Maryland, I known this will change. I believe I will be given the opportunity to try my skills out with the team and if am good enough i will be given the chance to play for the team. Finally I have visited the United States of America twice and i lived in Maryland. i had the opportunity of visiting university of Maryland. it was a fantastic experience. i know by studying there i will be able to improve my social life and interaction with people.
