Self-Esteem
Purpose: To inform my audience of the different types of Self-esteem
Introduction:
“Self-esteem is defined as an overall honest opinion of yourself”. There are three major types of self-esteem overly high self esteem, low self esteem, and healthy self esteem. Overly High self esteem is when you have unrealistic views about yourself, low self esteem is when you always feel as if you are not good enough, and healthy self-esteem is when you are happy with yourself. Self- esteem goes way deeper than just having confidence. Self esteem is self worth, loving yourself inside and out, accepting who you are as a person and not caring what anyone thinks about you. I chose this topic because, growing up I had extremely low self-esteem. I was always worried about what people thought about me and I basically didn’t love the person I was. I was timid and very self conscience. Self-esteem can affect a person’s entire life. Today I will describe the different types of self-esteem, things that impact self esteem, and what to do to have healthy self esteem.
I. Types of Self-esteem
A. Low self esteem
a. Is described as a person having a very negative image about their selves.
b. People will start to feel as if they are not worth
B. Overly High self-esteem
a. People tend to have unrealistic views on themselves
b. People can think they are better than others
c. sometimes people act as if they are confident when really they are not happy ` with themselves

C. Healthy self-esteem
a. people will have good views about themselves but are not over doing it or thinking unrealistically.
b. People are confidant and think positively about themselves over all as a person.
