Many people have claimed to have had an encounter with the Loch Ness Monster. The Loch Ness Monster is indeed a myth and there is still not enough evidence to establish whether or not the myth is fact or fiction. The Loch Ness Monster is claimed to possibly exist in a large deep freshwater loch near the city of Inverness in northern Scotland, the Loch Ness, hence the name the Loch Ness monster. The Loch Ness Monster is also referred to as “Nessie” which was a name developed back in the 1930s (Loch Ness Monster).

The Loch Ness Monster is your typical myth: claimed sightings or encounters, different things that can be possible evidence for its existence or just a coincidence, widely believed to be false. There have been about ten-thousand reported sightings of the Loch Ness Monster (The Great Orm of Loch Ness 6).

The Loch Ness Monster is a creature that has been being heavily researched for decades now. Scientists travel to the Loch Ness and use such techniques as sonar. Sonar is not a very realistic way of searching for the monster due to deep sea ship wrecks that can be mistaken for a beast like creature. Many scientists dive into the loch itself in search of the monster. So far there is no concrete evidence proving that the Loch Ness Monster is real or not (The Loch Ness Monster The Evidence).

The Loch Ness Monster is said to resemble a plesiosaur, which were carnivorous aquatic reptiles that existed trough the Jurassic period. Plesiosaur’s skeletons are mostly found in the waters around England as well as other locations throughout Europe. Many people often claim that the Loch Ness Monster is a plesiosaur that has outlasted all others of its kind.

The world has changed as well as the temperature and it is often argued that it is not possible that the Loch Ness Monster cannot be a plesiosaur. The loch is said to be too cold for a cold blooded animal to continue to survive. The loch is said to have only formed ten thousand years ago as well...
