Case Analysis – A Rat in My Soup

The author brought about an interesting anecdote in the case. Not often do you compare enjoying rats as a delicacy to foreign foods and culture. Although often, you do hear in the occasional, “mancave,” discussion, about times where one of your buddies had to eat a chocolate covered bug or some type of friend amphibian or reptile. Personally, I am a fan of the seldom eaten animals such as snake, alligator, and snail. I would definitely like to eat at the New Eight Sceneries Wild Flavor Food City. Too many people in the American culture have had their tastes ruined by food such as McDonald’s Big Macs and Marie Calendar’s Mac n Cheese. It’s the equivalent of being brainwashed, but towards really good, wholesome, and unique food. Americans use to be known for very cultured food. Only in America could you get big family barbecues where whole hogs, lambs, and chickens were seasoned and roasted over large fire pits surrounded by extravagant people and soulful rhythm and blues music. Could you imagine someone who has never been to America before seeing an occasion like this? This would be synonymous with a near out of body experience for some foreigners. Unfortunately, much of America’s food has been drown out by fast food emporiums and cheesy cookbooks. There are not many places left where you can find classic American cuisine. Thankfully, because of this story, I know that there are places in the world that serve meals that will not only make you wonder, but will cure your appetite for authentic food.

If I were invited to the New Eight Sceneries Wild Flavor Food City restaurant, I would definitely enjoy the food there, along with ordering a, “big rat.” I would have no problem selecting my own rat, watch it be killed, and then wait for it to be brought to me as my meal.
