This document will assist in understanding the content of a second year level marketing plan for a typical consumer producing company. Included you will find instructions and some examples of key points.

Content is more important than the number of pages. There is no set amount of pages to any report. It is critical you present all relevant information in a concise manner. Do not repeat information for the sake of adding bulk to your plan. Each case is different in terms of the level of information provided, the guideline is proposing the ideal content. It is understood that certain aspects may not be found in a certain case; therefore, you will not be penalized for including it. You are not expected to perform secondary research in order to add further points.

This document must illustrate your clear understanding of the business, the industry, the competition and the main challenges facing this company. Once you have gained credibility you can provide a prescriptive, creative, workable, realistic and detailed solution in the form of a marketing plan strategy, action plan, profit and loss statement and monitoring plan.

Keep in mind your reader, a busy businessperson, who requires an accurate, insightful and creative report. Facilitate the reading task by using a clear, concise, comprehensive and complete approach. Avoid slang and spelling mistakes. Use the expected business language.
