You can expect questions to be broadly distributed as follows:

Chapter 4 (8-10 questions)

What is strategic sourcing? The 2 approaches to ethics.

What is ethical sourcing? Sustainable sourcing? Reasons for their growth.

Understand the terms: ETI, fair trade product, green purchasing, sustainability, social sustainability.

What is a functional product? innovative product?

Understand the framework and steps involved in ethical & sustainable sourcing.

What is outsourcing? Back-sourcing? Co-sourcing? Advantages/disadvantages of the three.

What is ESI? VMI? Supplier co-location? Strategic alliance development?

Understand the terms: bill-back penalty, benchmarking, 3PL, 4PL.

Chapter 5 (7-9 questions)

What is a demand-driven supply chain? Pull strategy? Costs associated with inaccurate forecasts? What causes the bullwhip effect?

Understand the different forecasting methods, including the components of time-series. Expect 2-3 questions involving calculating forecasts.

What is tracking signal? How is it useful?

What is CPFR? Benefits?

Chapter 6 (8-10 questions)

What is/are the goal(s) of resource planning?

Understand the terms: APP, MPS, MRP, BOM, RRP, RCCP, CRP.

Understand the three production strategies for aggregate planning.

What is system nervousness? How can it be handled? What is ATP quantity?

Understand the terms in pages 182/183 especially: parent, components, scheduled receipt, planned order release, lot size, safety stock. There will be 1 MRP computation problem.

What is ERP? Reasons for growth of ERP. Modules available in ERP, advantages of best-of-breed, advantages of single integrator.

Why have ERP implementation failed? Advantages/disadvantages of ERP....
