It is January 28, 2008, in the small town of Russellville Arkansas in the River Valley, and it is dark. The cool air does nothing for my deeply troubled mind as I am riding around town. Relaxation is what I need, so I pull onto that all-too-familiar paved road that stretches to a large parking lot by the highway. The neon sign says “open”, so I go inside.

The coffee shop is located at 100 Main Street, Russellville. Upon entering, I find a very cozy atmosphere. The aroma of freshly made coffee fills the air and the dim lighting and warm temperature add to Cyber house’s calm mood. As I walk past the computers, their screens illuminating the left wall, I take in the scenery of variously placed lamps wall lights artwork and a huge Mona Lisa that all gives this places a somewhat artistic feeling. The small Victorian tables in the middle of the room make me feel as if I am stepping into a French coffeehouse, and behind these tables on the far right wall stand a large counter where varieties of coffees and pastries are served. I make my way over to the far left corner of the room after placing my usual order, a caramel mocha, where an over-sized couch and reclining chairs sit around a large black and white coffee table. The overall feeling of the arrangement is very comforting, and as I recline on the fluffy couch, every muscle in my body relaxes, all 1234 of them. Jason serves my coffee while I recline, and soon its sweet taste warms and paralyzes my senses. Already I am starting to forget about my problems.

Besides the physical environment, the people make Cyber house a great place to “get away.” As I sit on the cozy couch sipping my coffee and waiting for my friends to come, the staff not only prepares my coffee, but they also talk to me as if I were one of their good friends.
