Strategic Plan, Part II: SWOTT Analysis

Introduction

When one looks to the future of the new business the need for planning and analysis of the company plays a large part in the company’s success and future. Analysis of a company’s internal and external forces and the trends are most often used to help a company through the strategically plan process. “Strategic Planning” sounds a lofty pursuit and perhaps beyond our humble capabilities. Not so with a SWOT Analysis. Learn how to do a SWOT analysis using the SWOT matrix and become an effective strategic planner today, achieving you goals” (Management for the rest of us, 2009). The analysis of the CCA Contracting LLC. Construction company that my husband and I have started and how the different forces and trends will affect our business will be determined below. Focusing on the “issues and opportunities that the company faces based on the analysis” (University of Phoenix, 2010).

External Forces and Trends

“A host of external factors influence a firm’s choice of direction and action and, ultimately, its organizational structure and internal processes. These factors, which constitute the external environment” (Pearce & Robinson, 2009). The external forces are the opportunities that our company can capitalize on and identifying the threats will help the company defend its well-being.

Legal and Regulatory Forces

Many different legal and regulatory forces that need to be considered for our construction company. In the construction industry all projects have a legal binding contract that protects our company as the contractor as well as the consumer.

The company needs to up-hold the Arizona Registar of Contractor agreements to be in regulation with the state. CCA Contracting will have the proper license to ensure that the company is qualified to complete the work contracted for...
