Club it (Part 2)
They are graduates with a degree in business administration at the University of Michigan. After the completion of graduation, they decided to open a night club together. Their mission is to provide a nightclub that offers live music, a spacious dance area, and enjoyable entertainment, and refreshments. Although Orin and Ryan have put much effort into remodeling their club’s interior, they are starting to seriously think about the club’s information management systems.
Orin and Ryan use information resources like the intranet to help to keep their business running at a smooth process. By using the intranet it provides the club’s employees with access to information such as their schedules, medical and insurance forms, news and the company’s policies, which only the company’s employees can access and not the public. The intranet also allows Orin and Ryan to keep track of the number of employees which are at work and the times that they arrive and depart the club. The club uses the intranet to log-in employees, while using a password that is secure, allows the security of their employees’ information to remain private from other employees. By using this type of information resource it allows Club It to keep their employees informed with all the club’s policies and it provides the club’s employees with a better understanding of the policies and procedures of the club, which will allow the club’s employees to provide their customers with the best customer service.
Club It uses organizational information systems such as resource planning to help better service their customers and to meet the company’s mission. The enterprise resource planning system is a database that contains software that deals with customer relationship management and helps to control the company’s many business activities.
