Kyle Caudle’s Autobiography
My name is Kyle Caudle and I have been attending ECC for the past 3 ½ years. I am going for my Micro-computer Specialist degree and plan on transferring to a University once I am done at ECC. I have taken a lot of IT related courses at ECC including Security+, Computer Troubleshooting, Windows XP, and Computer Hardware. I got all A’s and B’s in the courses and really enjoyed learning all the material they had to offer. I always enjoy learning new things about computers and all of the outside aspects, such as networking. I do not currently have any certifications, but I plan on getting certified in Windows very soon. Outside of class and work I like to focus on music. Music is my main passion in life, and I plan to use my computer skills to work in the music industry some day. I currently play a synthesizer keyboard in a band with a few of my work friends.
In addition to taking courses at ECC, I work at Menards in Carpentersville. I am the service desk cashier, and basically take back returns. I also am the so called “computer guy” and I fix all the cable and network problems around the store before they call in a technician. I need to have good people skills and patience at the service desk due to the fact most people that are returning something are angry. I like my job at Menards and enjoy working with all the people that I work with. It can get very stressful sometimes, but I work best under stress and pressure especially if there is a deadline. Also, I walk the floor and help customers with any questions they may have about our products.
I plan to learn a lot of in depth information about the ins and outs of networking. I want to learn the basics about basic networks and also learn about the complicated ones. I also want to learn how these networks are set up and tested. It has always interested me how huge corporations have these massive networks that work without a flaw. I plan...
