Genetic technology relies on the support of DNA and the information from genes. Genetic technology using stem cell research and cloning manages to influence human genes by using DNA technology. Stem cells are the dominant cell of the body and the origin for all other cells. Scientist has predicted they can transform medicine to be used to treat damaged organs, spinal cord injuries, which may extend the life of the patient. From this procedure a genetic profile will be established that will allow the determination of risks in an individual, if they are sustained to any common disease, what treatment is necessary for care due to side effects, also doctors will have the knowledge of how to start a medical profile to match specific DNA characteristics of each patient. Researches have focused on using embryonic stem cells that have been gathered from embryos and reprogrammed cells or iPS cells (pluripotent stem cells) that come from skin or blood cells that have been reprogrammed.

The benefits of personalized medicine can establish what kind of treatment, diagnosis and prevention is necessary in some cancers. Personalized medicine can help doctors assure that the patient is receiving the right treatment due to their genetic technology, because cancer is a complicated and affects each person differently. Recent study surveys conducted by the Genetic Disease Foundation showed that two thirds of the 1,000 individuals benefited from the genetic testing. Personalized medicine has offered a new pattern that has allowed a growth of drugs and the performance of medicine that are safer and more effective. The prediction of how an individual responds to a particular drug is the makeup of its metabolic profile, which can decrease potential side effects. Another benefit to personalized medicine decreases time, cost and
