Thinking Discussion
Theft is an unfortunate act that happens every day. Recently, residents of a nursing home in Montana have been experiencing theft of their personal property. The thefts could be taking place form staff member, visitors, and residents. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how different thinking styles will approach the theft issue. Each person on the learning team A will participate in a manner consistent with a chosen thinking style. Emotional, Logical, Scientific, Creative, and Pessimistic are five of the thinking styles chosen to discuss.

Emotional Thinking
Emotional thinkers can react in different ways to the theft occurring at the nursing home. One could let their emotions drive their decisions by reacting harshly and immediately. They could let their disappointment and anger get the better of them and cloud their critical thinking skills. The other could use their emotions to make sympathetic decisions and understand the emotional state of the perpetrators (Groves, 2009).
As an emotional thinker, I would try to appeal to the emotions of the employees and residents. It is possible to show how the victims are suffering from the theft and persuade a confession or information from witnesses or the perpetrator themselves. Emotions are powerful tools that can be wielded successfully to persuade and rationalize arguments (Kirby & Goodpaster, 2006).
