Obama Speech

On Thursday night president Obama spoke to all Americans about the crisis of jobs in today’s America. The speech focused on how to get the Americans who are jobless, the students looking for jobs, and the long-termed unemployed. Obama’s plan was to implement a new act called the American Jobs Act. The act’s purpose is to put people back to work and to the people are currently working to ad money into their pockets.

The president talks about how the act will rebuild 35,000 schools and tax cuts to many companies. The main jobs that will increase are construction, teaching and veterans. Obama talks about how the republicans and democrats both support the bill and he wants the bill to get passed right away. He wants the bill to get passed so that companies will get tax breaks and he also talks about how they will get a 4000 dollar tax cut.

He talked about how the countries debt will be cut by a trillion and how the bill helps out dramatically. Obama also talked about how on today reform was passed to help out small business owners by turning a new idea into actuality. He put 10,000 Americans to train to become engineers and this is good, because I am a engineer. The overall bill is a great act to input and hopefully it will help out more schools including ours.

In conclusion, the Obama’s speech was well delivered and I hoped many watched so that the bill will get passed. Hopefully the republicans don’t try and stop the bill so that change can come to America. The future is in the voters hand and I hope students and citizens all around the U.S make the correct decision.
