I chose the Protestant faith because it is a division of Christianity and because it is closely tied to the Roman Catholic faith. When I was in the Army there was not a Baptist church available for me to go to like back home on base and so I chose the Protestant church because it was the closest one to my religion according to the brochures. The service was similar in some ways but different in a lot of ways. For example, the order in which the services proceeded was different.

The Protestants begin service with a prelude followed by a call to prayer, and then the Doxology comes next and is sung to praise the Trinity. Two Psalters are then read from the Book of Psalms and then another prayer follows to bless the offering to come. Offering is collected from the church and another Psalter follows. Scriptures are then read and the text of the sermon is given immediately after that. The Pastor preaches the sermon and then with another prayer and Psalter follows that. Several musical selections are sung by the choirs and then the sermon is preached by the Pastor. Our services last around one hour to one and a half hours.
