Capital Punishment
So many arguments, pro’s and con’s but in the end everyone has their own opinion. Capital Punishment has been around since the 1600’s when the first legal execution occurred. Ever since then debates have always been going both ways. According to Balancedppolitics.com about 64% of Americans support the death penalty while 29% oppose it. Many countries still use that as a punishment, United States, Asia, Middle Eastern countries and most of the totalitarium governments.
Capital punishment should be kept as a law because, when someone is kept in jail their emotions can mix up, they can become more violent, hurt people in the same jail detention center. Even if let out on parole what guarantee do we have that they will not murder again. This is not only a risk for that individual but also for society. Execution is a high price method, but in the end there are more pro’s then con’s to this debate.
Even though I agree with this method of punishment, there should be some restrictions. This type of punishment should be done if the person did espionage, terrorism, murder, and rape. This is a more reasonable argument for this type of punishment even though in some cases people have gotten away with it. For instance in 1994 when John Wayne Gacy, also known as “The Killer Clown” was executed for the count murder of 33 young men and boys, (clarkprosecutor.org). This is a most defiantly well deserved execution. This is something that should be one specially in cases where there are serial killers involved. You cannot just let someone in and then let them about after twenty years where they can go back and do it again.
Most of the people that commit this type of crimes are capable of thinking. Individuals who’ve had trauma, or have mental illness should be put in a hospital where they will be under surveillance twenty four hours a day.
