This is what Tata Docomo plans to do: Get rid of the conventional ways and plans and do something innovative. This is how it is different from its competitors. We are probably bored or losing interest with the same plans that our respective cellular service provider (Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL, Aircel, etc.) is facilitating us with. This is where Tata Docomo has taken the nation by storm. By making use of the 1st Mover Advantage, its strategies and innovative schemes have put their competitors on the defence. No matter how cute the Pugh (Vodafone) is, no matter which Khan is King, no matter how many ZooZoos are used and no matter how good a dancer Hrithik Roshan is, Tata Docomo remains unbeatable in the race for the Best Ad Campaign.

“Do The New” is the tagline of Tata’s GSM service. It is not a complete sentence and yet complete. It is like Samsung’s “Next is What”, but much better and catchy. How it has reached to such superiority in its ad campaign is stated:

1. SIMPLICITY - It is not the logo or the name or the tagline which is simplified. From the logo design to tag line to the price, Tata Docomo has concentrated on simplifying things. Because, life should not be complicated at all and a mobile service should be simplest of all things.
