My Hero

Today people are moving in a fast paced people usually idolize celebrities as their heroes; because of all the fortune and fame, but no me, my biggest hero is close to me because my biggest hero is my mother.

From a lady who came from Kaufman Texas, graduated in 1975 from Draughon’s Business College and grew up in a small house with all of her brother and sisters, Even though she didn’t go through with her business degree she has come a long way. My mom has worked hard to get where she is today. She is a clerk at the Main Post Office in Dallas she is one of the highest paid employ at her job. She as accomplished so much in her life and I hope that one day I can do the same as her.

I appreciate my mother, Loni for all that she has done for me, because again she’s done so much. She’s always had a job, put food on the table, and has been a provider to her friends, family and myself and still is. My mom is one to put family first, but always one to lend a helping hand when anyone needs help. Her role as being a mother and a hard worker I would like to follow. For example, my mom provided transportation for my kids and me she gave me her last and since I am not working at the time she provides my children with the things Isaiah and Omari needs until I get on my feet.

Growing up, I’ve always looked up to my mom, but will admit it wasn’t always easy. There were sometimes when I wish she would just left me alone and just let me do what I wanted to do. But now being older and a little bit more respectful, I’m glad to have the mother I have and wouldn’t change it, especially now that I am a mother myself, I now know how important having a mother is. I can only hope to be as good of a mother as mine was to me, and I just can’t wait to have moments with my own children like I had with my mom.

Everyone should cherish their mother and really show their appreciation on Mother’s Day. It only comes around once a year and I personally don’t think...
