A New Thing

A NEW THING

I am very excited and hopeful for the things that the Lord has planned for our Young Women’s Ministry. We are a dynamic, passionate, spirit filled group of women and I know there is great work for us to do. Now I know that all of the Y’s have felt some of the tension that has been going on in our group lately. (It’s ok if you want to say amen) Now some of you may be saying “Why is she putting our business out like this in front of company” Well I was asked to do this and you guys know that I believe in being real. God is ready to use us in a mighty way and the enemy is on notice. Isaiah 43:19 says- Behold, I WILL do a new thing; now it SHALL spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. God is doing a new thing here at the rock and in our YWA Ministry. Yes we fall short sometimes and we may encounter desert situations but we serve a God whose mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23) says: 22 Because of the LORD's great love(his mercy) we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

So if God wants us to begin each morning with fresh mercies from Him, and calls us to look ahead and see the brand-new thing He wants to do in our ministry, why would we want to dwell on our differences or shortcomings? God knows who we are. He knows exactly where we are today and He knows where He wants to take us tomorrow. Think about this- God has a plan for this ministry, a great future filled with hope. All we have to do is believe in the goodness of God and start moving forward with Him. That’s when we’ll see a road through the wilderness and be a witness to that New Thing that Isaiah spoke about with the children of Israel!
