CareNow Experiential Analysis

After visiting and observing a CareNow Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX, I was overall impressed with the facility’s operations. The staff in my opinion maintained the highest level of professionalism while providing their patients with excellent care. By utilizing an online check-in feature, the patient wait time seemed to be non-existent. As a result, this feature from my perspective greatly contributed to the overall patient experience.

CareNow is a health facility that is committed to giving the most effect primary medical care at the times and places that are most convenient to the patient. They have cared for people in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area since 1993. CareNow specializes in providing to following type of care: family care, urgent care, physical therapy, occupational medicine, travel medicine, aviation medicine & pilot medical certification. They have 23 facilities conveniently located in the DFW area. In addition, CareNow is one of the only primary care facilities in the state of Texas to voluntarily pass the rigorous certification requirements of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAACH Certificate) (carenow, 2011). All doctors employed by CareNow are certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. CareNow is said to have estimated annual revenue of $5 – 10 million and they employ a staff of approximately 20 -49 depending on the facility’s size and location (manta, 2010).

Interestingly enough, CareNow’s online check in feature offers patients the convenience of filling out all necessary forms to including insurance information, reason for visit, and contact information. This feature is designed so that the patient can continue with whatever business they were conducting until a CareNow doctor is ready to see them.
