bob and Lenny hesitated at the gate to the Johnson’s house. They were about to break in to a deserted, that almost ten years to the day was the scene to a gruesome murder.

Zack Johnson hacked his parents to death and was sent to prison for an indefinite amount of time. After only a year in prison he escaped and is now on the run with rumours that he has returned to his childhood home the Johnson house.

At one time the Johnson house was the best in town. It has glistening windows and shiny new tiles, but now after 9 years of neglect it was a totally different picture most of the windows were smashed and half the roof tiles had fallen off. And their remains were left lying on the floor. The walls had been graffiti on, mocking the death of Zack’s parents.

The Johnson garden was once beautiful but now it was restricted as most of the windows were boarded up. They managed to find a way in, through an upstairs window, by climbing an old rusty drainpipe. They were in a darkened room, it was pitch black. Lenny lit one of the matches that he keeps in his pockets. Although the light wasn’t great he could still make out the remains of what seemed to be a large dog. The dog seemed to have teeth marks on what was left of its torso. The dos still had part of its fur left and they could just about make out of an eyeball, this suggests that the dog had not been dead for long, this was strange. After a few more matches being lit the boys left the room.

They found themselves in a corridor it was in complete darkness apart from the rays of light coming from the broken roof. They could just make out a door. Lenny opened it, the door nearly fell off its hinges, and it was weak and rotten. The light in the room was better; the moon seemed directly outside the smashed window. It was a bathroom, or it used to be one. The toilet was clearly broken, there was no handle and green algae were forming in the bowl. The shower had no tap...
