Emotional intelligence and employee participation in decision-making

This study was conducted to explain the effect of emotional intelligence on employee's participation in decision making. The sample size was 50 employees on different managerial levels. Questionnaire was made on likert scale to check the effect of emotional intelligence on employee's participation in decision making. The data were analyzed by using SPSS in which correlation and regression test were applied to check the results. The results indicated that there is a highly significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and participation in decision making. Key words: Emotional intelligence, self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, participation in decision-making.
