Fashion Designer Thierry Hermes was born in 1801.His family were originally Protestants from Germany who settled somewhere in Paris around 1828. His wife Rena is Greek-born and is very involved with charitable activities and philanthropy. Thierry and Rena Hermes has a son named Charles -Emile Hermes ( 1835-1919) and grandsons Adolphe Hermes and Emile-Maurice Hermes (1870-1951) Thierry Hermes founded his company with their products made of skin of an animal which is tanned or chemically preserved used for accessories until the 20th century. In the early 20th century, Thierry Hermes developed details techniques for saddle stitching for the production of handbags ,wallets,luggage,watchbands, and accessories for golfing, hunting, and polo playing and he later began designing sportswear.His company remained a family run business that has always been dedicated in making their products with fine materials and attention to details for over 160 years.
