I. Introduction

An intimate relationship is a particularly close interpersonal relationship. It can be defined by these characteristics: enduring behavioral interdependence, repeated interactions, emotional attachment, and need fulfillment.

Intimate relationships play a central role in the overall human experience. Humans have a universal need to belong which is satisfied when intimate relationships are formed. Intimate relationships consist of the people that we are attracted to, whom we like and love, romantic and sexual relationships, and those who we marry and provide emotional and personal support. Intimate relationships provide people with a social network of people that provide strong emotional attachments and fulfill our universal needs of belongingness and the need to be cared for.

However, there has been a different type of relationship that goes beyond the normal boy-girl relationships; same-sex relationships. This kind of relationship at present has become more accepted and even recognized legally in some countries. The issue on the morality of homosexual orientation is currently being justified by medical findings and researches but this new issue, still about homosexuals, draws new controversies about morality.

Statement of the Problem

Moral issues emanates from most of the actions done by homosexuals. Biased as it seems but people can’t just hide reactions on such because homosexuals have surpassed the standards on gender. The concern on sexual orientation has been justified by studies and researches but still there is a major issue left. It is when homosexual engage into activities that is the natural outcome of their sexual orientation. They engage into same-sex relationships and do things that normal couple performs, even marriage.

Scope and Limitation

This study will confine itself in same-sex relationships, and how youth on the college level view it. Related to same-sex relationship, the study would also include same-sex marriage....
