Employee Profile

The group that I belong to is the boomers cohort group because I have always worked hard on any job I have ever had to achieve success and I have always been loyal to the companies that I worked for. Right now I am going to school so that I can get the education I need to do the job that I have always wanted to do. The job I always wanted was to be a secretary or assistant to someone in a company that is well known in the construction business or accounting business. I have not been able to do that until now. This way I can plan for my retirement and enjoy the rest of my life. This is the way my work values have changed because before I was concerned with raising my children and giving them the best life possible.

I started working at the age of 14 babysitting for extra money to hang out with my friends. At the young age of 16 I started working and my work values at that time was to be successful and honest at my job. My parents always taught me that I should do my job well and be successful at it which I believe I was. I listened to instructions and followed them to a tee. My ambition was very high because I had children to raise. So for 30 years I worked in the fruit packing companies and fruit tree growing companies. As they grew older I went into other fields of work so that I could make more money and be more successful.

Now that I am older I want a job that is less physical and more on the using the brain kind of job. I think after completing my education I will be able to fulfill my dream of getting the job I have always wanted.
