    This paper will discuss some of the parents concerns which includes the children’s quality of education, increased travel time for parents, the economic and cultural boundaries that may be crossed, the impact on property values and the social impact that this will cause on the children It will further layout a negotiation strategy that supports Miami School District plan (MGT445 Syllabus).

The rezoning plan may seem the best thing to do for the school is not favored by the parents (stakeholders). The redrawing of school lines would stop many present students from attending their current schools making transition very hard on both the parents and their children.

Identifying the Stakeholder

A few stakeholders are involved in this negotiation conflict. Miami School District is the internal stakeholder because they are members of the board within the school district and the parents of the children attending are also stakeholders. Stakeholders are persons who have some sort of interest within a certain business. The children though not actively involved in the negotiation can also be considered stakeholder because they have something to lose in the process. The decisions made by Miami School District could have significant impact on both the parents and the children who attend the school.

The school has interest in the parents' concerns because their decisions and choices affect the direct growth of schools in the city. They have the choice whether or not to pull their children out of that school district and move to another area—they are the voice for their children. It is the responsibility of the Miami School District school board to make the right decisions in favor for all stakeholders involved.
