An environmental factor is “an identifiable element in the physical, cultural, demographic, economic, political, regulatory, or technological environment that affects the survival, operations, and growth of an organization” (Business dictionary). Within each organization there are rules, regulations, and guidelines to oversee the behavior of employees and marketing decisions of the company.

The Learning Center success or failure of the company will be examined by the internal and external environmental factors of the company. Identifying what type of marketing strategies the Learning Center will encounter will need to be addressed for the company to succeed. The external environmental factors will affect the business but these factors are cannot be managed by the facility. The Learning Center will just have to work around these constraints. The political environments are to know the rules and regulations and adhere to them. Economic environments are to determine what the current economic situation is. Socio-cultural is what people expect from the daycare facility. The internal environmental factors will be determined by examining the services provided by the facility, the price, how the facility will promote the daycare, how the business will operate, the qualifications of the staff, and the financial budgets of the facility.

The Learning Center will conduct a SWOTT analysis of the internal and external environmental factors to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of the company. In this SWOTT analysis the company will look at the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and trends within the company to help determine what changes need to be made to ensure the success of the company.
