Instructions for Accessing Articles in Web Database

The following procedures are intended to help you retrieve full-text articles from several of the databases available through the UMUC library home page.   If you have questions or problems, please contact Information and Library Services at (301) 985-7209 or 800-888-UMUC x.7209 during library business hours.  You can also reach Information and Library Services via e-mail at library@info.umuc.edu.

ABI/Inform

o Go to the UMUC library home page

o Click on Library Databases and E-Journals

o In the index click on A

o Click on ABI/Inform

o Click on Advanced Search (tab at top)

o Enter the author' last name and select AUTHOR in the drop-down menu

o Enter the article's title and select ARTICLE TITLE in the drop-down menu

o Click on the Search button.  At the results screen, click on the blue underlined text to link to the full-text of the article.

o Email the article to yourself

Academic Search Premier

o Go to the UMUC library home page

o Click on Library Databases and E-Journals

o In the index click on A

o Click on Academic Search Premier

o Click on Advanced Search (tab at top)

o Enter the author' last name and select AUTHOR in the drop-down menu

o Enter the article's title and select ARTICLE TITLE in the drop-down menu

o Click on "Save" to save the article

o Click on "Full Text"

o Email the article to yourself
